Here's an example of a simple email you can send out to your friends and family for support.
Dear family and friends
I'm participating in Endure for a Cure on 20 October and raising money for Children's Cancer Institute. I will be putting my body through 12 hours of endurance cycling, but the pain will be short-lived in comparison to that suffered by children during their cancer journey.
Sixty years ago, cancer was nearly always a death sentence for a child. Now, thanks to medical research, eight out of 10 children survive. Children’s Cancer Institute is the only independent medical research institute in Australia wholly dedicated to putting an end to childhood cancer.
Help me raise much needed funds to cure childhood cancer. To add extra motivation to my challenge, why not go that extra KM and sponsor me by distance cycled? Every dollar counts!
I'll do the hard work on the day your part is easy. Simply click the link below to view my fundraising page and make a donation, it couldn't be simpler.
