How can I register a school team?
You can register your school team by clicking 'Register' on the homepage and selecting 'School Challenge Registration' this page should be created by a school teacher only and then once completed school students can register and join the team.
Can I register as an individual?
Unfortunately no, this event is designed for school teams only, you would need to get your school involved.
Why do I need to pledge to fundraise $500?
Endure for a Cure is a signature event for Children’s Cancer Institute. All funds raised will directly support our research to save the lives of all children with cancer and eliminate the suffering they endure during treatment and beyond. We have asked for participants to aim for a target of $500 each. We will provide regular email updates to your organising teacher which include fundraising tips, or feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org

Do we need team jerseys or can we wear our sports uniform? Can we order team jerseys?
Wearing a team jersey is not mandatory, however can be a fundraising tool if you acquire sponsors and promote their brand in it. This year our preferred supplier is Hillbrick. Please contact the team on 02 4648 4002 or email email@example.comBlack if you would like to order your team jerseys.
Will I receive any other information prior to the event?
Your teacher will be receive a number of emails in the lead up to the event, with fundraising tips, child stories and event updates.
Where is Sydney Motorsport Park?
Sydney Motorsport Park is located 40km west of Sydney’s CBD on Brabham Drive/ Ferrers Road at Eastern Creek. It is a 45-minute drive from the CBD or airport on average.

How will I get to Sydney Motorsport Park?
Buses will be organised to transport your entire team to and from the event. These details will be made available closer to the event.
What time do I need to be at the venue?
Registration will be between 8:20am-9:00am. Event briefing will take place at 9:05am with the race commencing at 9:30pm
How will I get my bike to the venue?
We will organise for your bike to be transported to and from the venue. These details will be advised and confirmed closer to event day.
What should I bring
Your School sport outfit, comfortable cycling clothing, a mechanically safe bike to ride, bike lights, helmet, water, blankets/towels and other cold weather items, money, supplements, sunscreen, cycling spares and of course – a bike!
What type of bikes are allowed at the event?
Road bikes, Hybrids and Mountain Bikes are allowed in this event. Fixed Wheel bikes, BMX bikes or Tri Bars are NOT allowed in the event.
Can I listen to music or use my phone while riding?
No – the use of any electronic devices that can divert attention while riding is strictly prohibited.
Will there be mechanical support on the day?
Yes, there will be mechanics on site who will be providing full mechanical support from 6:00am until 7:00pm. However, we do recommend that you have your bike checked prior to event day to ensure it is full working order.
Do we all have to be on the track at one time or is it a relay?
Timing chips will clock how many times each rider crosses the start/finish line, so as many of your team can be on the track at once as you like. The more riders your team can keep out at any one time, the more laps you will clock up.
Will I be insured at the event?
No - all riders are strongly encouraged to be members of Bicycle NSW (or state equivalent) and have third party insurance to compete in the event. If you have third party insurance with any other provider then it’s up to you to ensure with your provider the extent of their cover for this event. As this is not a sanctioned race by Cycling Australia third party cover through riders race licenses won’t cover riders in this event.
Are spectators welcome?
Of course! Bring down as many family and friends as you want to cheers you around the track.
What about tea/coffee/food?
Riders will be provided with lunch, drinks and snacks. Any other food and drink must be brought with the individual or can be purchased at the on-site café, open from (6am-5pm).
Can I have a shower after the event?
Yes – there will be access to showers on site and these will be pointed out on the day.
Is there anywhere to stay before or after the event?
Directly opposite the venue is Alpha Hotel Eastern Creek, a 4.5 star hotel featuring 104 rooms.
Can I continue fundraising after the event?
Absolutely! Fundraising will remain open 4 weeks after the event. Do remember that there will be a prize for the team with the most funds.
